Defeating Major Enemies Part IIIA
3. Faith and patience will bring victory in our lives.
James 1:2-8
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the proving of your faith works patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all freely and without reproach, and it is given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting. For the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, being driven and tossed by the wind; for do not let that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord -- he is a double-minded man, not dependable in all his ways.
Fatih and patience work together to bring about victory in our lives. The following are definitions of faith and patience:
Faith - belief in God's work. James tells us that faith without works is dead. So along with belief in God's work one must put action for faith to be complete.
Patience- unswerving constancy. That is to say or do the same thing over and over again, never varying.
Hebrews tell us that through faith and patience Abraham received God's promise to him.
