Jesus Saved Me - In Christ_ Part VII

Redeemed from the Curse

Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, for seeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. Gal 3:7-9

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”) that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal 3:13-14

Jesus Saaved Me - In Christ - Part VI

Child of God

For as many as are led by the Sprit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not
receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs- heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together with him. Rom 8:14-17

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for your are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Gal 3:26-29

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying our, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, then as heir of God through Christ. Gal 4:4-7

Behold what manner of love the Father bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. I John 3:1-3

Jesus Saved Me - In Christ - Part V

Because of what Jesus Christ did for me, I am a new creation. I have a new spirit. That spirit is Christ in me the hope of glory.

New Creation
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. II Cor 5:17

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. Gal 6:15

I have been crucified with Christ; it in no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Gal 2:20

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Col 2:9-10

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. Col 3:9-11

And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Rom 8:10-11

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. I Cor 6:17

Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of
judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. I John 4:17

But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught
by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: That you put off, concerning your former conduct,
the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in
the spirit of your mind and that you put on the new man which was created
according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Eph 4:20-24

And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam
became a life-giving spirit. I Cor 15:45

… always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. … Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. II Cor 4:10-11 & 16

Jesus Saved Me - In Christ - Part IV

Jesus death, burial, and resurrection bought peace with God, forgiveness of sin, and right standing before God.

Righteous before God“In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you…. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me.” Isa 54:14-15, 17

For He made Him who knew no who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Rom 5:21

For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Rom 5:17

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God – and
righteousness and sanctification and redemption- that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” I Cor 1:30-31

And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Rom 8:10-11

Jesus Saved Me - In Christ - Part III

Sins (disobedience to God, missing the mark) separated us from God; but God sent Jesus to shed His blood for our sins. Jesus purchased eternal redemption for us.

Sins are forgiven
“I, even I, an He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins. Put me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted. Isa 43:25

…who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness –by whose stripes you were healed. I Pet 2:24

For the death that he died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 6:11

In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it our of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Col 2:11-14

And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only by also for the whole world. I John 2:2

“knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” Gal 2:16

But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, not with the blood of goats and calves, but whith His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Heb 9:11-12

Jesus Saved Me - In Christ - Part II

Jesus Christ's work on the Cross also provided peace with God. Sin had put a division between God and man. Sin brought punishment. Jesus Christ took my punishment for sin and God's wrath on Himself and gave me His peace with God.

“For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has mercy on you. Isa 54:10

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Rom 5:8-11

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
II Cor 5:18-19

…and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; … Eph 6:15

Jesus Saved Me - In Christ - Part I

Jesus accomplished the redemptive work of God, forgiveness of sins. When Adam disobeyed God, sin came into the world. With sin came the consequences of sin-the curses, such as, separation from God, sickness, and poverty. Jesus shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins that provided redemption from the curse of the law.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on the tree.”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal 3:13-14

See Deuteronomy 28:1-14 concerning the blessings. A personal relationship with God, no sickness, no proverty. The presence of the Holy Spirit to guide us, teach us, comfort us, and more.

God Loves Me -Summary

I have covered 4 names of God from Genesis. In summary read Psalm 91:1-2:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

These verses are saying:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High God (the only true God- the Most High God)shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (the brested one who supplies all my needs). I will say of the LORD (The One who is Who He is- truth, righteousness, and justice), "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God ( One who is in covenant relationship; who will never leave me nor forsake me), in Him I will trust.

Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shephed, I shall not want.
