God love me Part IV

God wants a personal relationship with each of His children. He want s us to KNOW Him in the most personal way. Every day the Holy Spirit teaches me more and more about who God is and His plan for my life. Only as I know the truth about God do I become really free. For example, today people say that God is sovereign and mysterious - sovereign, yes, but mysterious, no. After further study I have found that God is "mysterious" because we are ignorant of who He really is and what He is really like.

God is sovereign but He has given His Word and His authority to man. He has given man free will to make his own choices. Today people hear and read about God in the Old TEstament who punishes and kills people. In the New Testament, they hear about God who loves me but …. People say that they are saved but they still feel that they are not able to measure up to God’s standards. Will the real God please stand up? The Holy Spirit began to show me in the Word of God truths about God. God’s Word is progressive and Jesus came to give us the final Word about God. When you really know who God is and what He is like, you will know what eternal life (quality of life here and hereafter) is all about. In the next postings I will discuss further about who God is and what He is really like.

God loves me Part III

One of the absolutes to finding the truth is that one must know who God is. The Word of God says in John 17:3, “This is eternal life (life= zoe = God's life), that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent.” This verse tells us that if we want to really know what eternal life (zoe = God's life)is all about we must know God and Jesus. John 17:3 provides the definition of eternal life. Eternal life is God's life in us. It is a quality of life that begins the very day, the very second, that one accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Eternal life continues forever. As a person comes to know (The word “know” in John 17:3 means knowing God and Jesus in the most intimate way.) God and Jesus Christ, an understanding of eternal life will increase and give more meaning and power to our life on earth and our future life in heaven.

God's life, the life of Jesus in us, is free from sin, sickness, poverty, defeat.

God loves me Part II

In John 17:3 John gives the definition of eternal life. It is to know God and Jesus Christ. The following example from my life got me started toward the truth – God Loves Me (Period)

In the beginning of my journey on healing, God really showed me the difference between truth setting me free and error putting me in bondage. When the doctor, and quoting the Word of God initially did not bring healing to my shoulder and arm, I began to ask God, “What is the problem?” God showed me that the problem was me. I did not know the truth about Him! and about healing.

I began to ask myself what was the truth concerning God and healing. Was it God’s will to heal all men all the time? (I had been taught that God heals but sometimes God put sickness on people to teach them something or healing left with the disciples.) After a Holy Spirit led search, I found the answer to my question, “Is it God’s will to heal all men all the time?” was “YES”. I begin to ask myself, “Who is God and what is He really like? When I heard the word “but”, I felt doubt. I began to see doubt as one of the reasons why I had not experienced my healing. Hebrews 11:6 says “that without faith it is impossible to please God.” Doubt is the opposite of faith. Error was asking me, “Are you sure God is really wanting to heal you right now in this situation? Truth was saying to me, “God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for me and I already was healed, saved, and made whole. I took this truth and began to see healing take place in my body. The truth began to set me free!

God loves me Part I

This first foundation for healing using the Word of God is "God Loves Me."(Period) It is an absolute. If you put any condition on this statement, you bring doubt into the mind of a person and doubt messes up one's faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, "without faith it is impossibe to please God." The two following scriptures talk about the importance of knowing God and how to know the truth about God. Knowing the truth about God sets a person free.

"This is eternal life, that they my know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent." John 17:3

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 Jesus revealed the truth about God. Jesus said that if you have seen Me, you have seen the Father. (John 14:9)

In my journey with God these past three plus years, one thing is very clear. If I or anyone does not know that “God Loves Me” (Period), they will not be able to truly know God or experience all that He has or has done for them.

Personal Comments - Foundations

There are several foundations that I have discussed concerning healing using the Word of God. They are... 1) God loves me. 2) Jesus saved me. 3) The Word of God is the key. To be healed by the Word of God, a person must KNOW (John 17:3) (personally and intimately) that God loves me. (John 3:16) God does not do bad! (James 1) God does have to deal with sin; but He sends His Word first (Psa 107:20) to do good before he takes the route of punishment for sin. To be healed by the Word of God, a person must know who Jesus is and what He did for them on the Cross. God blessed Adam and Eve in the beginning. ( Gen 1:26-28) They lost the blessing. (Gen 3) Jesus restored the blessing to mankind. (Eph 1:3) The Word of God provides all a person needs for healing. The Word of God, faith, patience and love. (Rom 10:17; Gal 5:6) You believe the Word of God, you act on your faith, and you receive. (Mk 4:22-24)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Eph 1:3

In Christ Jesus God has blessed every person that has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord with everything that was lost when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. It is up to each person to find the blessings/promises that are in the Word of God concerning in Chirst and began to appropriate them in their lives.
