Faith and Patience

Hebrews 10:35-39 says that we must not cast away our confidence which has great reward. We need patience, so that after we do the will of God we will receive God's promise to us. It goes on say that it may take a little while but it will come and will not tarry. The just shall live by faith. If we draw back from faith, we will not please God.

James 1:2-4 tells us to count it all joy when we run into problem situations. This is an opportunity to prove our faith. The testing (proving)of our faith works (hires) patience (unswerving constancy). When we let patience (unswerving constancy) have its perfect work, we will become perfect and complete lacking nothing. The just shall live by faith. Patience will work with our faith to affirm it and make it complete.

Unswerving constancy is saying the same thing God says over and over again until our faith is perfect and complete lacking nothing.

Faith Comes By Hearing the Word of God

Hebrews 11:6 tell us that without faith we cannot please God. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God. Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us that we are to give attention to God's Word - ears, eyes, and heart - for they are life to all who find them and health to all their flesh. Joshua 1:8 tells us that the Word of God is not to depart from our mouth. We are to meditate on it day and night and do it. When we do, we will make our way prosperous and have good success.

If a person does not spend time daily in the Word of God, they have no chance to please God. Ask the Holy Spirit what you are to study each day. With the proper Word for you each day, you can not fail. You will have faith and please God.

Fight the Good Fight of Faith

I Timothy 6:12 says, "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." One of the basic reasons why Christians have a problem in fighting the good fight of faith is the lack of knowledge of the Word of God. Romans 10:17 says, "So then faith comes from hearing, and hearing comes from the Word of God." When we are ignorant of what the Word of God says about a subject, we do not have the faith to fight that particular situation.

Spend quality time in the Word of God so that your faith on a particular issue will be able to defeat the enemy.

Memorial Day 2009

I was 4 years in the Air Force. I saw what our military was all about. I praise God for the men and women who have made my/our freedom possible. Many have given all so that we could be free.

Giving His life for all mankind. Giving His all. Giving His life to set men free. Giving His life for mankind's freedom. Jesus did it all. Jesus gave His all so that anyone of mankind that would accept Him and His work on the Cross would be free.

Peace and Rest

Isaiah 26:3-4 says, "You (God) will keep him (me) in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever. For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength." In Hebrews 3 and 4 the rest of God is for those that believe. Trust in God is the basis for peace and rest.

God's Promises Are Yes and Amen

II Corinthians 1:20 says, "For all the promises of God in Him are "YES", and in Him "AMEN", to the glory of God through us." As we believe God's word and act on it, we glorify God through what Jesus did for us.

God's Word Works

Last PM and early this AM I had an attack. I had some symptoms that I had seen during a very short battle with food poisoning. I turn the problem over to God, began to quote the Word the Holy Spirit brought to mind, and begin to do what God was telling me to do. After a short time, God said, "Eat breakfast." The symptoms went away. My total healing manifested. Glory to God. By Jesus' stripes I was healed.

Jehovah Rapha

In Exodus 15 22-27 tell us that the children of Israel needed water. The finally came to a place that had water. But the water was bitter. The people complained and Moses went before the LORD and God showed him a tree that made the water sweet. After this experience the LORD tested them (gave them the following word to prove their faith in Him and be obedient to Him.) "...and said, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statures, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have grought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals (Jehovah Rapha) you.""

This is one of seven covenant names giving to Israel by God. God is our healer. In every situation where physical healing is needed, God tells us to look to Him as our healer.

Psalms 105:37-38 says, " He also brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes." He is telling us that none of the 1000s of Israelites came out of slavery feeble. That is a true MIRACLE.

Depend on God (Jehovah Rapha) for your healing.

The Word of God Gives Life and Health

Proverbs 4:20-22 says, "My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh." The Word of God is like medicine. When taken properly, it has no side effects.

Praying The Perfect Prayer for Healing

In Romans 8:26-28 we read a passage that is very familiar to most Christians. It tells us that the Holy Spirit that resides in all Christians "helps us in our weaknesses. For we do not know how to pray for as we ought..." But the Holy Spirit searches the heart of God, finds the will of God and intercedes for us with the perfect prayer. We are to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in this endeavor. When we do we can expect for all things to work together for our good. Healing is our good.

Following God's Voice

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 says,"Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the lORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God." Today we have the Word of God and the Holy Spirit that give us the voice of God. When we hear and obey, all these blessings shall come upon us and overtake us, because we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God. The blessings include defeat of all our enemies, like sin, sickness, disease, poverty, devil, etc.

Ephesians 1:3 says that God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. If we are not willing to hear and obey God's voice, we can not expect the blessings to come to us.

Healing is a blessing.

My Hospital Emergency Room Visit

Yesterday was to say the least an interesting day. I woke up at the regular time and did the same things that I normally do. However, I begin to have symptoms, I asked God according to I Peter 5:5-7 what to do. I felt led to call the doctor and he said to go to the emergency room. Turns out my wife and I both had a nasty case of food poison.

I ask God how did this sneek in on me. I had been covering us for protection using Psalms 91. This morning the Holy Spirit taught me what happened. My wife and I went out to eat for lunch and went to a cover dish supper at our church in the evening. The Holy Spirit said that I did not ask He to tell me if there was any thing that I should not eat. I did not walk in the Spirit.

God wants to be involved in every, every, every area of our life. The Holy Spirit will not and can not get involved in every area of our life without our giving permission. The heavens are the LORD's but the earth dominion God has given to men.

The Name, Blood, and Words of Jesus - Our Healing

Ephesians 1:21 tells us that the Name of Jesus is above every name. Revelation 12: 11 tells us that the devil is overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. John 6:63 tells us that the words of Jesus are spirit and life. Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us that the Word of God that we put in our heart gives life and health to all our flesh. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith that pleases God (Hebrews 11:6) comes from the Word of God.

The basis for all healing comes from God and His Word. The Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, and the Words of Jesus all bring us healing to our bodies.
