Fasting and Prayer and Healing

I want to refer you to Isaiah 58 and God's discussion concerning fasting. With proper fasting, a person can break the yoke and bring healing to their body. Read the whole chapter and see what the Holy Spirit says to you concerning fasting.

What God did in Christ for Us

I once read that there are 137 promises in the Bible referring to what God has done for us in Christ. I began to research the in Christ promises in my Bible. Here are just a few: Blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ; filled with the Holy Spirit; eternal life; child of God; member of Christ's body - the church; overcomer; conqueror; given all authority; all under our feet; no longer under the power of darkness, now in the kingdom of God's dear Son; devil is defeated; sins are forgiven and forgotten; peace with God; righteous before God; all promises are Yes and Amen to the glory of God in us; as He is, so are we in this world; and more.

How can we ever be defeated with all the authority and power of God in us?

God's Love

For God so loved the world... John 3:16-17 God gave His ALL so that we might have it all. Jesus Christ shed His blood to pay the price for our sins. That is true love.

God's Promises

For as many promises as are of God, in Him they are Yes, and in Him are Amen, for glory to God through us. II Corinthians 1:20

When God promised that "by His (Jesus) stripes you were healed", God is telling us that Jesus has already purchased our healing. All we have to do is believe His promise in faith with corresponding action and we will see our healing. Our healing brings glory to God.

God is FOR me, not against me

Romans 8:31-32 tells us, "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"

These verses are so exciting to me. If God was willing to sacrifice His Son for ALL, God is more than willing to give us all things that His Son, Jesus Christ, did for ALL. Healing is one of the many things Jesus Christ did for ALL. ALL who accept what Jesus did for ALL will receive ALL. See Isaiah 53:4-5 and Matthew 8:16-17; Matthew 8:2-4. Healing is God's will for ALL who will believe His Word and act on His Word.

Watch what you are considering

In Romans 4:19 Paul says that Abraham did not consider his own body- His circumstances. In Hebrews 12:1-3 the author of Hebrews says let us run with patience (unswerving constancy= saying the same thing God says about your situation over and over again until it becomes a reality) the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. ... For consider Him (Jesus)... lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls (mind, will, emotions, and conscience). When you have a problem, you must continually look to and consider what Jesus did for you. If you continue to look at the problem, you lose hope and become weary and discouraged. Consider only Jesus. He has solved all your problems.

Watch Your Heart

Your heart is the deciding factor of what you are experiencing in your life. Change your heart and you will change your life. Proverbs 4:23 and Proverbs 23:7

James 4:8 says that you must ...purify your hearts, you double minded. This means for us to use the Word of God to clean out our hearts and let the Word of God completely saturate our hearts. We only want the Word of God to be in our hearts.

Patience is unswerving constancy. That is saying the same thing over and over again. This is renewing your mind. You keep yourself single minded by doing this.

James 1:2-4 tells about letting patience doing its work so that we will be perfect and complete lacking nothing. Again keep your heart single minded by renewing your mind witht the Word of God.

Watch Your Word From Your Mouth

Since I begin to understand what the Word of God says about words, I have tried to be careful of what I see, hear, and especially say. The Word of God says that words are seed. When you plan them into your heart (spirit), they grow up and become what you speak. Just like corn seed produce corn, healing seed produce healing. Luke 8:11; Hebrews 4:12 Also, negative things produce negative things.

As I hear what people say, I understand why things are happening in their lives. For example, I hear people say something negative like "I feel such and such." Later they say I wonder why I feel such and such. I can tell them why. They spoke it into existence.

The authority that God has given man on this earth combine with the words we speak to produce results. Also, the word of God has authority over everything. So if someone tells you that you are going to have some rough times and God's Word tells you that God will supply all your needs, if you believe God and act in faith on His word to supply all your needs. All your needs will be met by God.

When you hear someone say, you can have what you say. You can be sure this is true. God has designed words to be like seed. You reap what you sow.

In Christ YOU Have ALL Authority

See Psalms 8:4-8, Psalms 103:19, Psalms 115:16. These verses tell us that God from heaven rules over everything; BUT that He has given dominion over the earth and His creation to man/woman- that means all of us humans. See Genesis 1:26-28. This means when there is a problem on earth, it is mans' problem not God's problem. However, Jesus says that man can do nothing without Him. See John 15:4. God has supplied in Jesus everything we need. See Philippians 4:19.

How does this apply to healing using the Word of God?

Dr. Creflo Dollar said this morning that from the dialogue between the serpent and Eve (see Gen 3) we can learn that man must not talk to things that he or she has authority over. Eve had authority over the serpent. When she started to talk with the serpent, he got her to start reasoning instead of quoting the Word of God which gave her authority.

The Word of God says that by Jesus stripes you and I were healed. Jesus took our infirmities, pains, sicknesses, diseases off of us. If any of these try to come back on someone that has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, they are an intruder and we have the authority to tell fever, pain, etc to leave our bodies because the Word of God says that we WERE healed. The Word of God has authority over all. When we use the Word of God, like God tells us to, we have authority over all.

I Am An Overcomer

In 2009 I am going to give you the daily insight God is sharing with me concerning Healing Using the Word of God. The Holy Spirit led me to the words "overcome, overcomer, and conqueror." After some research I discovered that the the definitions mean to overcome, defeat, to overcome with words instead of swords especially in the New Testament.

See Romans 8:37 which says that I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ who loved me and gave His life for me. See Revelation 2 and 3 which tells the rewards of an overcomer.

In Jesus Christ we have been made by God more than conquerors. When we accept Christ, He gives us our reward - His very life.

Conquer with your words, say " I am an Overcomer. I am a Conqueror." Because the Word of God says so. I can not be defeated and I will not quit.

Glory to God!!!!!
