Jesus Saved Me Part VII

Sins are forgiven

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. Psa 32:1-2

“I, even I, an He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins. Put me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted. Isa 43:25

And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only by also for the whole world. I John 2:2

In the beginning, sin allowed many enemies such as sickness, poverty, and death. Jesus took away sin and defeated all the other enemies.

Jesus Saved Me Part VI

Reconciled to God/Peace With God

…and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; … Eph 6:15

“For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has mercy on you. Isa 54:10

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Rom 5:8-11

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
II Cor 5:18-19

John 3:36
I Thes 1:10
IThes 2:16
I Thes 5:9
Isa 53: 4-5
Rom 5:1-2
Eph 2:13-18
Col 1:19-22

Jesus Saved Me Part VI

God made us some promises in Christ. If we will claim the promises, God says that all the promises He made to us in Christ are Yes and Amen! There are no maybes, just YES and AMEN.

Promises of God
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” II Cor 1:21

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, have escaped the corruption… II Peter 1:2-4

And this is the promise that He has promised us--- eternal life. I John 2:25

Heb 6:16-20
Col 1:1-23
I Cor 1:30-31

As we learn about all the things that Christ as done for us, we will be able to claim God's promises for us.

Jesus Saved Me Part V

As I begin to list the things that God has provided for us "in Christ", I want you to remember that as we renew our minds to who we are in Christ we will become like what the Word of God tells us we are.

“I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; that the communication (sharing, fellowship) of your faith may become effectual (effective, active, powerful) by the acknowledging (to become fully acquainted with, knowledge) of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” (Philemon 1:6)

By the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus, the communication of your faith may become effectual (effective, active, powerful).

I John 3:23 says, " And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of HIs Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment." From the above we can tell using I John 3:23 that Philemon was a mature Christian because of his love and faith toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints. We will mature as we renew our mind to whom we are in Christ.

Jesus Saved Me Part IV

Jesus "sozo" us. "Sozo" is the Greek Word for "saved", "healed", "made whole". It describes spiritual and physical healing. Jesus died so that we would be saved, healed, and made whole in every way - spirit, soul, and body.

Here are just a few of the things that Jesus did while He live on the eart:
Taught the Word of God/Kingdom of God
Healed the sick
Cast out demons
Performed miracles
Forgave sins
Had great authority
Walked on water
Took authority over the environmental elements
Feed the multitudes
Raised the dead
Turned water into wine

When a person accepts Christ as Savior and Lord, he/she is given all the resources to do the things that Jesus did and ever greater things. In Christ we are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. (Eph 1:3)

Jesus Saved Me Part III

Many people think that when they are saved, that is that they accept Jesus as Lord Savior and Lord, that their sins are forgiven and they are going to heaven when they die. Yes, these are absolutely true; but there is more, much more.

a. Defeated sins – Matthew 1:21; I Peter 2:24; Jeremiah 31:34; Hebrews 10: 16 – 17;
b. Defeated sickness – Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16 – 17; I Peter 2:24
c. Defeated the devil – Hebrews 2:14; I John 3:8; James 4:7;
I Peter 5:8-9

Jesus Saved Me Part II

Who does the Bible say Jesus is?And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him. John 1:18

By this, love is perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as His is, so also are we in this world. John 4:17

For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal without hands in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. Col 2:9-11

And He is the image of the invisible God, the first born of all creation. Col 1:15

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. Col 1:19

God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the work of His power. Heb 1:1

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we my know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. Little children, keep your selves from idols. 1 John 5:20-21

Jesus came to show the world what God is really like.

Who is Jesus? Part I

Today we begin to look at the second foundation for using the Word of God to heal yourself. It is Jesus saved me. We will begin by considering “Who is Jesus?” and "Who we are In Christ." When we understand who Jesus is, we can better understand who we are in Christ. Why? Because when a person accepts Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, they become a new creation-Chirst in you the hope of glory. Jesus becomes your life and you become part of His Body the Church. (Ephesians 1:22-23)

For us today, we need to ask this question, “Who is Jesus?” Isaiah 53 and 61 are used along with other Old Testament scriptures to tell about the Messiah. The four gospel authors - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John- tie together the Old Testament and the New Testament to associate the Messiah and Jesus as the same. When the people came to Jesus for healing, they bowed down before him. They called Him Lord or Master, a person with great rank or reverence. Some saw Him as the Messiah, the Son of God.

In the gospels, the writers of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John each portrayed Jesus in a different role. In Matthew, Jesus is portrayed as King of Kings. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Eph 1:19-23 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever. Heb 13:8 And opening his mouth, Peter said: I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right, is welcome to Him. … You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him. Act 10:34-35, 38 In Mark, Jesus is portrayed as the Suffering Servant. In Luke, Jesus is portrayed as the Son of Man. Finally, in John, Jesus is portrayed as the Son of God.

In summary, Jesus was God and man. Jesus had to be God to have authority and rule in the spiritual world. Jesus had to be man to have authority and rule on the earth - the physical world.

God Loves Me Part XVII

In God Loves Me we have discused various aspects of God and His love for each of us. It is never His will for bad to happen to us. The Word of God will heal us every time if we will do what God's tells us to do. To know God and to trust Him is a foundation stone for every person. In Matthew 8:2-4 Jesus told the Leper that it is absolutely His will to heal. In our next session together we will begin to discuss our second foundation for healing.

God Loves Me Part XVI

John 17:3 gives us the definition of eternal life. This is eternal life. That they may know you the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent. Healing using the Word of God is absolutely dependent on knowing who God really is and who Jesus is and what He did for us. Wrong teaching, lies of the devil, have cost many Christians their lives. Remember the truth sets you free. (John 8:32) Jesus has defeated every enemy. We are His Body. Jesus has given us all authority to go and do what He did. These are for all who believe. (Ephesians 1:19-23 & Matthew 28:18-20 & Mark 16:15-18)

God Loves Me Part XV

The Bible tells me that God Loves Me.

John 3:16 -17
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Romans 5:8-9
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Romans 8:31 – 39
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, by delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor thing present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus or Lord.

Gal 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Eph 2:4-7
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

II Thes 2:16-17
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has love us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.

I John 3:1
Behold what manner of love the father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

I John 4:7 – 19
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might life through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love

I John 3:16
By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. We love Him because He first loved us.

Rev 1:4-6
John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
